Odd man out in Oregon
Originally from CA, I come from a family of metal workers. My Grandfather had his own shop for MANY years. My Father worked for him for many of them and has ran a large shop for the last 20 years. Now one of my brothers works for my father and my other brother works for a shop that contracts for my Father's shop.
Then, there is Me. I live in Oregon, and work with computers. How did that happen? Its a long, long story. Anyway. Apparently I have not avoided the metal bug. As I have gotten older, I have found that I enjoy making _ACTUAL_ things with my hands as opposed to making things inside of a computer. And that is how I ended up here! I've gleaned so much useful information from this site, I figured I should probably join up. Thanks to all of you existing members for being so willing to share and exchange your knowledge and experience. I look forward to learning more!
