Default Dave, Ontario

Hey guys
New here, just getting into more advanced work, did a lot of work in College where I took Marine Engineering. Did a lot of fab projects using Lathes, MIlls, and the hand tools, now looking to get better and learn more things. Saw an article someone did on using a stump and thats how I found this place, basically looking to learn more about the precision side of it for working on motorbikes and cars. Currently working on a 74 Nova and have done various car and motorbikes in the past.

Thanks

A small town, near Goderich, basically have no real metal shaping/fab shops to speak of within 1 hour of me so a lot of learning on the fly, youtube, internet, forums etc.
Loving the info on the stump shrinking, didnt want to have to buy expensive tools and theres plenty of beached trees on the beach across the road from my place so I am going to try that soon.

Received an English Wheel( cheap cheap one from princess auto, but a wheel to learn on none-the-less) for christmas, decided to step it up. Just bought the Gardiner guys DVD as well due to the recommendations on here and from what I saw on youtube.

If anyone in Ontario wants to show someone some things, semi-apprentice style let me know Would love to pick brain, or watch how its truly done. See if I am doing it right!

I'm in Markham, just north of Toronto.
Anytime you want to come by my place for some hands on, let me know.

I'll be hosting a weekend meet in the spring if you're interested.
