Default Greetings from NC

Hello, everyone! My name is Teresa, I live in Asheville, NC and create metal sculpture, mainly nature subjects. I am always looking for new techniques and information, you can never stop learning. I saw this forum recommended on another forum as a great resource. I look forward to learning and sharing with everyone!

Hey Teresa,

This is a great forum. Welcome.

I beat stainless and aluminum sheet metal into sculpture. I learned a lot here.

I spent a lot of time in Asheville; I went to college up in Mars Hill back in the early 1960's, and we went down to Asheville to drink and raise hell—sure couldn't do it up in Mars Hill. Asheville was a magical place back then. The resorts of the old New York millionaires from back in the 20's were still pretty much intact, old log roadhouses built back on the rivers in the mountain hollows. And the Grove Park Inn hadn't yet been commercialized—it still had the old quiet 1920's elegance, and no crowds of tourists. Yep, Asheville was a magical place back then.

Thanks everyone!
Here are a few pics of my latest work.
Each is around 12-14" tall, mild steel, the colors are from patinas.
