Would it be possible to use the database to list all the members in each country, ie UK?
This may already be possible - Im not that computer literate! It would just be more possible to locate similar like minds within travelling distance.

Richard, I can search by location but the problem is that some people say they are in London or England or UK or Staffordshire or or or...
Plus there is a privacy concern that would keep us from publishing email addresses. We can send emails to a batch but we can't give this info out. We did that for the Australian guys last year. The best way would be for you to just ask like you did and let people respond. We could easily make a 'Location forum' by country or area of the country and let folks voluntarily put their contact info in it.

Opening a separate topic sounds a good idea.
I wouldnt want anyone to go to a lot of extra work - I am not familiar with what might be required. I understand the confidentiality thing - one idiot messes it up for everybody else. A little bit the way of the world! I cant imagine too many people feeling too threatened by a "Location" forum. So long as idiot scammers cant access the contact info. A simple list, only contactable through the private message facility on the forum, might be practical? It would be easier to contact "locals", no matter which country. The forum and the US side of things seem really well established which has been brilliant for the rest of us, less experienced (Mr Gardiner and a few others excepted) enthusiasts. 90% of my knowledge, still not a lot, has directly or indirectly come via the various metalwork forums for which I am very grateful.
