Was very active in the metalshaping community for many years in Illinois before developing issues with my shoulders.

I moved to the Auburn, Alabama area for 5 years. Had surgery on one of my shoulders, which took over 2 years to heal properly. Left shoulder issues are pretty much gone. Now I need the right one done.

Next on the list was Albuquerque, New Mexico for 2 years.

Working on settling into the Winchester, TN area now. Hope to get to visit Kerry Pinkerton and Dan Shady, at least, in the near future.

No metal projects in the works at the moment, mostly just wooden guitars waiting for me to find a house with some workspace. I've been getting the itch for the last year or so, and that means a project car might be in my future too.

With any luck, I'll be active in the community again.

Was a name dropped some months back in a youtube video or forum post. The name was Tim Doty, guy who dropped it lives in the Tennessee area. Maybe in the Nashville area more precisely. I wandered then if that Tim Doty might be you. Can't recall now what the gist of the conversation was, thinking he got some parts from that fellow named Tim or something to that effect. Probably was a machinist fellow as I watch a lot of machining videos. Might have been a foundry/casting video though too. Good to hear you're still alive and kicking around.

Good to see an update from you, Tim.

I realize we're not well acquainted but your story sounds very familiar to me. It has given me a lot to think about and makes me consider how I'm working. Thanks for posting.
