Just dropping in to say HI.My name is Gary and I have two projects. One is a 1985 Hi Top Astro which is getting a 3" body lift, conversion to a no window cargo,5.7 V8 TBI engine, and rust repair. It's nick name is "Ole Yellar".

The other one is a vendor trailer that needs the interior completed with skinning the inside of the belly, walls constructed, and flip center flooring for storage of back up stock to be stack on.

Once metal work is done,it will be painted the same color as the van is going to be painted.

I will follow up with threads posted in appropriate sections.I come from a backround as a Admin from a site that uses VBulletin and am familiar with how it works.I have now since left that position.I am 62yrs young and have been involved in Drag racing/hot rods since I was 14yrs old.

I have done some metal shaping in the past during doing a back haft on a Monza town coup with a Sub & Tub kit and I needed to replace a rusted floor pan.I want to improve my skill set in metal working to have Pro looking end product on my two projects.

Thanks for having me,

Gary

Gary, welcome, glad to have you as a new member. It is nice to see some of the "younger" folks join up. I started drag racing in the late 50's and still enjoy watching it today. Thanks for joining us.

Default welcome from Texas

Welcome to the boards. I like those old Astro Vans. Some fender flares and wide tires make them look cool. That thing should really go with a 5.7!
