Default French newcomer

Hi, i'm Laurent a newcomer on this forum.
I'm mechanic in motogp motorcycle racing since 2001,
I see carbon fiber all the year, but i know nothing about metalshaping,
But i'd like to know how to work metal and aluminium sheet.
I have built a power hammer with plans find on internet, i have shrinker, stretcher and some handtools.
And now i need some tips and tricks for using my tools and make some fuel tanks, mudguards and stuff like this.
I have a triton, triumph engine in Norton frame and i need some aluminium parts fort it.
So i will read your posts and ask questions to learn the art of metalshaping.
Laurent

Hi Laurent, welcome to the forum, I show the process I used to make a tank by hand on my youtube footage. One thing you don't mention but in my opinion need is the ability to gas weld aluminium.

Do you have any photos of the machines you made?

David

Hi Laurent, looks more like a reciprocating machine - is that right? Looks very well built as well.
