Default Hey there from Germany

Hey there,
I am Olli from germany, running a small shop where I convert classic cars with engine swaps. I love metalshaping and afterwards I electrified my bead roller (with a winge electric motor) and bought myself a strechter/shrinker (that i converted to foot-operation) I opened myself the door to fabricate more panels by myself.
The planishing hammer is a nice tool too, but now I am going for a english wheel.

(first try for classic Mini wheelarches)

Not sure if i build my own, or "just" buy a complete one.

right now i am working on a electric sunroof with the original piece of steel-roof i cut out before. Still a lot to do...

Cheers Olli

Thank you guys!

I´ve been studying the threads here in this awesome place for hours!

The sunroof is giving me a headache or two right now.

The frame i made up with the shrinker/stretcher has to be matching the form of the roof, so i have to lower the sections of the frame at several points or rise them.

Today i saw here a good trick, to bend the L-Frame with the low/highspots with the help of a second piece of metal layed over/under the metal you are going to bend.
Second step would be to shrink/stretch the edges to get the radius.

I just gave it a try, but the metal i use is to thick (i want enough strenght) so i went for 1.5mm sheetmetal.

Will try with 1.0mm again, that will work (i hope)
I need about 30-45min for the sunroof frame, so i give it another try!

The other Idea is, just weld the Frame to the edge of the roof cut out...

I know there a different routes to go, but at this point i need to chose the as easy as possible route for me.

cheers
Olli
